We loved it a lot. So I thought of posting here. I got the&nbsp; recipe from Sailu\u2019s food. I made little changes to the original recipe. I did not add eno salt. Still it was so soft &amp; tasty&nbsp; Try this, you\u2019ll love it for sure. We relished with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/2009\/10\/hotel-white-red-chutney.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>coconut chutney<\/strong><\/a> !<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><b><br \/><\/b><br \/>\n<strong>1 cup &#8211; 250ml<\/strong><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><strong><br \/><\/strong><\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" bgcolor=\"#efefef\" border=\"1\" cellpadding=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" style=\"width: 500px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"500\">\n<ul>\n<li>Powdered oats \u2013 1 cup  <\/li>\n<li>Bread slices \u2013 4 nos ( 3 days old bread \u2013 I used white bread. Whole wheat bread is preferred)  <\/li>\n<li>Rice flour \u2013 1\/4 cup  <\/li>\n<li>Rava\/ semolina \u2013 1\/4 cup  <\/li>\n<li>Sour curd \u2013 2 \u2013 3 tbsp  <\/li>\n<li>Eno fruit salt \u2013 1\/2 tsp or cooking soda \u2013 1\/2 tsp ( I dint use)  <\/li>\n<li>Ginger \u2013 1 inch ( finely chopped)  <\/li>\n<li>Green chillies \u2013 2 nos ( finely chopped)  <\/li>\n<li>Curry leaves \u2013 a few  <\/li>\n<li>Coriander leaves \u2013 a few  <\/li>\n<li>Water \u2013 as needed ( around 1\/2 cup)  <\/li>\n<li>Salt \u2013 as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For topping :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Big onion \u2013 2 nos ( sliced)  <\/li>\n<li>Carrot \u2013 1 no (grated)  <\/li>\n<li>Cashews \u2013 a few <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><strong><br \/><\/strong><\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" bgcolor=\"#efefef\" border=\"1\" cellpadding=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" style=\"width: 500px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"500\">\n<ul>\n<li>Remove the sides of bread slices.  <\/li>\n<li>Powder the oats and bread slices together.  <\/li>\n<li>Take this powder in a wide bowl and add the rice flour, semolina, sour curd or buttermilk, salt, ginger pieces, green chillies, coriander &amp; curry leaves.  <\/li>\n<li>Add water and bring it to dosa batter consistency.  <\/li>\n<li>Take the dosa tawa, heat it and add a ladleful of batter. Do not spread it. make it like a pancake.  <\/li>\n<li>Drizzle little oil around the sides. Now spread the onion slices as topping. It was still soft. Add it to get spongy soft uthappam.  <\/li>\n<li>There are numerous choices for topping. U can add all the vegetables along with onions too.cashews and other nuts can be added for nutty uthappam.&nbsp; <\/li>\n<li>I mixed ginger , chillies and coriander leaves in the batter itself. U can add it as topping separately.  <\/li>\n<li>If you don\u2019t have sour curd, add 1\/2 cup buttermilk or fresh curd.  <\/li>\n<li>One more easy way of making uthappam with left over dosa batter is below.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Add 1 cup of powdered oats to 1 cup of left over dosa batter and mix ginger , green chillies , finely chopped onions, curry &amp; coriander leaves. Add little water if needed. It will also taste the best. U may feel its sticky &amp; uncooked but it is not so. Its softness makes you feel like that.
