This green chutney can be prepared with coriander leaves or mint leaves( pudina). I have already posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/2011\/12\/green-chutney-coriander-leaves-chutney.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>green chutney<\/b><\/a> similar to restaurant style. This is my second version. I usually make this for idli. I use mint leaves or coriander leaves and sometimes with both. You can call this as kothamalli pudina chutney. It tastes great in all the way..I got this recipe from a restaurant style recipes book..U\u2019ll get a nice green color and i am sure u\u2019ll like this a lot..<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1 cup &#8211; 250ml<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" bgcolor=\"#efefef\" border=\"1\" cellpadding=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" style=\"width: 500px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"500\">\n<ul>\n<li>Grated coconut&nbsp; &#8211; 1\/2 cup  <\/li>\n<li>Green chillies \u2013 &nbsp; 3-4 nos ( add more if u want spicy)  <\/li>\n<li>Tamarind&nbsp; &#8211; A small piece ( Half seed )  <\/li>\n<li>Coriander leaves or Mint leaves \u2013 1\/2 \u2013 1 cup ( 1 small bunch)  <\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder \u2013 1\/8 tsp  <\/li>\n<li>Cooking oil \u2013 1.5 tsp  <\/li>\n<li>Salt &amp; water \u2013 as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To temper:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mustard seeds \u2013 1\/2 tsp  <\/li>\n<li>Urad dal \u2013 1\/2 tsp  <\/li>\n<li>Red chilly \u2013 1&nbsp; no (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<strong>METHOD<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" bgcolor=\"#efefef\" border=\"1\" cellpadding=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" style=\"width: 500px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"500\">\n<ul>\n<li>Heat oil in a kadai and saute the green chillies&nbsp; and coriander\/ mint leaves.
