They served mini idli flavored with pepper masala. It was served with onion raita. As my husband is fond of pepper recipes , we ordered this recipe to try. It was very simple and yet very tasty. Though the idlies are not deep fried , I felt it was too oily. Recently my MIL told me after reading a magazine that eating 10 pepper corns per day helps better digestion , prevents stroke and heart attack.. Grind the pepper corns coarsely and set aside.  <\/li>\n<li>Chop the tomato into big cubes. Its better if &nbsp;you use bangalore tomatoes ( less pulpy ones) .. Slice half of the big onion and finely chop the remaining half . Chop the garlic cloves finely in round shape..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Pepper-idli-tile-1_thumb-1.jpg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Pepper idli tile 1\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/Pepper-idli-tile-1_thumb-1.jpg?resize=604%2C154&#038;ssl=1\" height=\"154\" style=\"background-image: none; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px;\" title=\"Pepper idli tile 1\" width=\"604\"><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In a wide kadai&nbsp; , heat oil and add the big onions , garlic cloves and whole curry leaves.. Saute till curry leaves turn crispy.  <\/li>\n<li>Saute well and then add the tomato pieces.Saute for a minute.Tomato should not turn mushy.It should be visible.<\/li>\n<li>Finally add the pepper powder &amp; salt.
