I usually make onion tomato uthappam sprinkling some pepper powder or finely chopped green chillies. But in that dosa they sprinkled <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/2013\/01\/idli-milagai-podi-idli-podi-recipe.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">idli milagi podi<\/a><\/strong> and it was very nice with full of flavours.Also the tomato pieces were well roasted to black in color.The roasted tomato pieces had a nice flavour. Also the dosa was not too thick like our regular uthappam &amp; above all not much oily <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Winking smile\" class=\"wlEmoticon wlEmoticon-winkingsmile\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/wlEmoticon-winkingsmile-2.png?ssl=1\" style=\"border-bottom-style: none; border-left-style: none; border-right-style: none; border-top-style: none;\">. Overall i liked that dosa very much..Last week I tried the same in my kitchen with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/2009\/01\/idly-with-tomato-sambhar.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">left over idli batter<\/a><\/strong> and i was happy i could bring in the same taste. I think most of u know &amp; make this combination at home.But still i am posting this recipe for beginners &amp; bachelors .. So here is the recipe ..<\/p>\n<div id=\"inpostAd1PlaceHolder\">\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>1 cup &#8211; 200ml<\/strong><\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" bgcolor=\"#efefef\" border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" style=\"width: 80%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"80%\">\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/2009\/01\/idly-with-tomato-sambhar.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Idli , dosa batter<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 1 cup  <\/li>\n<li>Big onion \u2013 2 nos (slice cut)  <\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes \u2013 2 nos ( i used bangalore tomato, chop into small pieces)  <\/li>\n<li>Curry leaves \u2013 few  <\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chitrasfoodbook.com\/2013\/01\/idli-milagai-podi-idli-podi-recipe.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Idli milagai podi<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 1\/4 cup ( to sprinkle)  <\/li>\n<li>Gingely oil \u2013 to drizzle <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/div>\n<table align=\"center\" bgcolor=\"#efefef\" border=\"0\" cellpadding=\"1\" cellspacing=\"1\" style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"100%\">\n<ul>\n<li>As mentioned above , slice cut the onions , chop the tomatoes and curry leaves and set aside.Take the idli batter in a bowl and add little water( say 1\/4 cup) to make it slightly thin..  <\/li>\n<li>Heat dosa tawa and pour a ladleful of batter. The batter will spread automatically , if not spread it little. ( Please make sure u don\u2019t spread it too thin )  <\/li>\n<li>Now sprinkle the sliced onions , tomato pieces and curry leaves all over the dosa .. Please do not add too much of tomato pieces..Add 4-5 small pieces for one dosa.  <\/li>\n<li>Now sprinkle idli milagai podi all over the dosa and drizzle gingely oil in the sides as well as top of dosa.Let it cook for sometime in medium flame.  <\/li>\n<li>Now flip the dosa carefully.
