Sorry I haven't tried with idli rava. But I think the same proportion works. If needed add some baking soda.

But mix the batter, keep it outside for 5 hours and then make idli. It helps for fermentation and yields soft idli.

Yes u can follow the same. Add 2 tbsp aval if u want. Use ice water for grinding.
